Innovate Alabama Tax Credit Opportunity
The CRP DefenseTech Accelerator utilizes the Innovate Alabama Tax Credit program. This statewide initiative allows Alabama companies and individuals with significant tax liability to allocate 50% of their state taxes to stay local and support programs like the CRP DefenseTech Accelerator.
Eligible taxes include:
Alabama income tax
State insurance premium tax
State public utility license tax
State portion of the financial institution excise tax
This creates a unique opportunity to redirect tax dollars into the growth of defense innovation within Huntsville.
